At the end of the procedure, Two nerves (n. pudendalis) of the pelvic floor are infiltrated with an anesthetic. The pudendal nerve is responsible for pain sensation of the pelvic floor and anus. After infiltration of the nerve, the genitals (penis, labia majora) may feel numb.
During hospitalization, paracetamol (Dafalgan) and anti-inflammatory medication can be administered intravenously.
Antibiotics are not routinely administered.
Resumption of a high-fibre diet on the day of surgery.
