Dr Benoit Bomans

Besides general surgery (gallbladder, inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia….), I also have a special interest in colorectal surgery and proctology.

The aim of this website is to provide patients with guidance on pathologies, possible treatments, from pre-operative examinations to post-operative follow-up, including risks of complications.
I can help patients in French, Dutch, English, Spanish.

We treat as well patient from abroad from Europe and beyond, to this intend an estimation of cost of the different surgical interventions are communicated within this website

Our team consists of four surgeons, each with their own speciality: Dr Koen Van Belle, reconstructive surgery of the abdominal wall; Dr Nouredin Messaoudi, hepatobiliary and pancreatic oncological surgery; Dr Francois-Xavier Terryn, bariatric and gastric surgery (functional and oncological).

Certain pathologies which are diagnosed during the consultation will be referred to the doctor within our team who is most qualified for the treatment of that pathology.

Dr Nouredin Messaoudi

Prof Dr Messaoudi studied medicine at the University of Antwerp and specialized as a surgeon at the University Hospital Antwerp with highest distinction.

In 2016, he then completed a fellowship in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal and the Centre Hépato-Biliaire Paul Brousse in Paris.

Dr Messaoudi specializes in the surgical treatment of pathologies of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas and operates at two sites, the Europa Hospitals and UZ Brussel.

Since 2019, he has led a research programme at the Flemish university of Brussels (VUB) on the immunological profile of pancreatic cancer and colorectal liver metastases, as well as the development of minimally invasive surgery and interventional endoscopy.

Prof Dr Messaoudi is a member and board member of many national (RBSS, BSHBPS) and international (IHPBA, E-AHPBA) scientific societies. He is the author of more than 20 scientific publications.
